Last spring, Fresh Pond Golf Director Jo-Anna Krupa visited the Department of Human Service Programs’ Martin Luther King, Jr. Afterschool Program.
She brought youth golf equipment to the program and taught Cambridge children in grades 2 – 5 about the basics of the sport, coaching them through warm ups and golf drills. The kids learned about “Y” and “L” shapes in golf and practiced driving golf balls.
In the 2024-2025 school year, Fresh Pond Golf Course staff and Recreation staff will continue to take golf instruction on the road to visit local afterschool and youth programs.
