Did you know that community members can enjoy Fresh Pond Golf Course all winter? While the last day of golf for the 2025 season was December 7, the course will remain open for passive recreation during winter months. We welcome visitors of all ages to enjoy walking the course, observing local wildlife, and – after a snowfall – snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or sledding. We are also excited to launch our Indoor Golf Simulator this winter.
Please enjoy your time on the course responsibly this winter:
- Observe posted rules
- Golf in any form is prohibited during the off season
- Stay off of the greens (these areas are marked by yellow and orange stakes)
- Stay out of sand traps
- Keep dogs leashed
Indoor Golf Simulator Information
Book a tee time for our indoor simulator to practice your swing in the off season! The Fresh Pond Club House will be open Monday through Wednesday from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. and Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. (except during holiday closures). To use the simulator, please book a tee time on our tee time platform. Make sure you select “Fresh Pond Indoor Simulator” in the top left Course dropdown.
Indoor Simulator Rules:
- Make sure all members of your group have clean clubs. Any clubs that are not fully clean will not be allowed for simulator use. You will have the ability to use the restroom to clean your clubs at the clubhouse at the expense of your time. We will have clean clubs available for use.
- Your time in the simulator starts and ends on the hour. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early to compensate for parking, payment and stretching. We please ask that you are packed up and ready to leave on the hour so that the next group can begin on time.
- You may create an account with Full Swing so you can log in to the simulator and keep track of your scores and practice sessions. There also is a Full Swing app that you can download. While this is a nice feature, it is NOT necessary to use and operate the simulator.
- Please be prepared to pay the rate in full as we do not have the ability to split up the rate.
- We will only allow a maximum of 4 people in the room at a time, this includes any spectators.
- If you need to cancel please email freshpondgolf@cambridgema.gov no later than 48 hours before your booking. Any no shows or late cancellations will result in a $20 fee.
- Food and Drink is not permitted.
