As we approach opening day for the 2026 golf season, please be aware that our grounds crew has been diligently working through the typical early spring challenges. In order to adequately prepare the course for a successful 2026 season, we expect to open on Friday, April 3.
The turf remains soft and wet from recent weather conditions and winter thaw, which makes it difficult to clean and prepare playing surfaces without causing damage. Our grounds team is working through this challenge while focusing on routine spring maintenance tasks, including:
- Addressing any minor winter damage to the turf
- Performing topdressing and light rolling on greens and fairways as conditions allow
- Clearing debris and preparing tees, approaches, and other key areas
- Preparing the course’s bunkers (smoothing out surfaces and adding fresh sand where needed to restore proper playability)
These preparations are crucial for establishing strong, healthy turf that will support excellent playing conditions throughout the entire season. We share your eagerness to return to the green, and we appreciate your patience as we invest in fastidious groundskeeping to ensure course durability and quality of play in the months to come.
